 Informal Roundtable Discussion With Trade Commissioner Luis Ernesto Gonzalez., from the Embassy of Canada in Mexico 

Mr. Gonzalez will be in Toronto to discuss opportunities in the Mexico Agtech market and to attend the AGRI Tech Venture Forum. In addition to a market briefing, the roundtable will provide an opportunity for him to share information on a Canadian Technology Accelerator program that he will be organizing this autumn, together with our US colleagues. The accelerator will focus on: 

  • Precision agriculture: data, traceability, GPS, machine control systems, sensors, robotics, autonomous vehicles, automated hardware, telematics and software 

  • Controlled Environment Agriculture: greenhouses, hydroponics, control and automation systems, management software, remote sensors, artificial intelligence and fertigation controls 

  • Robotics and artificial intelligence: robots, sensors, data management platforms and traceability 

  • Sustainability solutions: Water management systems, soil health and satellite monitoring, ag input optimization, animal ag efficiencies, etc.
