Your Contribution as a Robotics Engineer (Controls)

As a Robotics Engineer with the focus on Controls Programming, you will be a critical asset in the development of our robotics program. This would span from making incremental changes on our current robot systems to the development of entirely new systems for various applications.

A large part of KONNEXIO’s success is the pre-development of automation and robotics (sub-) systems that will be used on customer projects once completely developed and tested. As a robotics engineer, you will suggest the development of such building blocks, assess the benefits to our product lines and develop the solution once approved and funded.

In order to optimize our work environment and to stay current with technology, you will also be contributing in specifying, selecting and implementing new systems, tools and operating standards in our mechatronics and controls department and to the company as a whole.

Your qualification as a Robotics Engineer with the focus on Controls:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.

  • A solid understanding of industrial automation and robotics

  • Experience in Designing electrical and controls systems.

  • Experience with Serial Communication, Multithreading and GUI Developments

  • Programming proficiency in Phyton, C++, ROS, Qt

  • Proven experience in object-oriented programming

  • Expertise of designing, configuring, and troubleshooting various communication protocols (i.e., RS-232, TTL, CAN, Ethernet/IP)

  • Good knowledge of Computer Networking and Linux Environments

  • Experience with Vision Systems, object recognition, SLAM/LiDAR, location tracking & guidance

  • Experience with Data logging, compiling, and evaluating (OEE)

  • Experience designing, configuring, and programming drive systems (servo, steppers, …)

  • PLC Ladder Logic and HMI programming.

  • Experience with AutoCAD and electrical design software

  • Hands-on knowledge of assisting with wiring and troubleshooting of electrical systems
